The Project
Resonance is the reinforcement or prolongation of sound by reflection from a surface or by the synchronous vibration of a neighbouring object. In mechanical systems, resonance is a phenomenon that only occurs when the frequency at which a force is periodically applied is equal or nearly equal to one of the natural frequencies of the system on which it acts.
This could be the microwave frequency of the Big Bang or the mental vibrations of God. This means that the phenomenon of the Resonance plays a very important role in life and existence. In physics, resonance is a phenomenon that occurs when a vibrating system or external force drives another system to oscillate with greater amplitude at a specific preferential frequency. The concept transcends the purely physical realm and touches upon the fundamental ways in which energy and information propagate through different media.
The aim of this project is to create a small virtual world empowering the user and audience to interact and experience a universe modulated by the "resonance" of sound. Each element in this universe has its own properties defined by mathematical algorithms known in the development world as "functions." These functions act as the DNA of each visual element, determining how it responds to incoming audio signals and user input.
The singularity of these functions and the combination of them in different order and time, conditionally to the frequency of the sound (our external force), will define the personality of each element. A generative 3D art audio reactive script developed with Javascript and HTML5 using the libraries Three.js and Web Audio API. Video composition with DaVinci Resolve and Blender. The result is an immersive audiovisual experience that bridges the gap between abstract sound and tangible visual form.

Below as a projection of the above. Exploring the relations between the above and below, mind and soul, nature and technology, peace and chaos. A series of artworks based on organic elements and city plan views, animated live with real-time music composition. The work explores the duality between the macro and micro, the cosmic and the terrestrial, creating visual narratives that respond to the ebb and flow of sound in real time.
